RoadclaimTerms of Use
1. Who we are
Roadclaim is provided by Codext GmbH, Frankenstraße 10, 74549 Wolpertshausen, Germany (imprint). The app is free of charge and contains no ads or in-app purchases.
2. Drive safely
Traffic laws always come first. Never use your phone while driving: the app needs no interaction on the road. Do not race, speed or take risks for a stat, a cell or a trophy. Roadclaim has no speed leaderboard, on purpose.
3. Your account
Your account is created anonymously. Keep your recovery key safe: anyone who has it can use or delete your account, and we cannot restore an account without it. You can delete your account at any time.
4. Play fair
- Only record drives you actually took as a driver or passenger in a road vehicle. No GPS spoofing, emulators, scripted uploads or other manipulation.
- Usernames, display names, club names, descriptions and mod prompts must not be offensive, misleading, infringing or unlawful.
- Don't attack, overload or reverse engineer the server beyond what the open source license allows.
We may remove content, reset stats or territory, or suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. AI car mods
Only upload photos you have the rights to. Generated images are for your personal use; they are created automatically and may be inaccurate. There is a daily limit, and the feature may be changed or switched off.
6. Stats are estimates
Distances, brake presses, turns, lane changes, elevation and other values are estimated from your phone's sensors and GPS. They are for fun and are not suitable as evidence, for insurance, tax or legal purposes.
7. Availability
We run the online features as a free service and may change, limit or end them. The app's recording and stats work on your device without the server.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, as the service is free of charge, our liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
9. Open source
The source code is published under the MIT license. These terms apply to the use of our app builds and our server, not to the code itself.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the app or this page will show the current version. German law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. Contact: kontakt@codext.de.
